The U.S.S. Roosevelt is the 4th carrier of the Nimitz class and was launched in 1984. With a crew of 8000 men, this carrier is capable of supporting 100 aircrafts and of cruising 13 years without refueling.
The aircraft carrier U.S.S. Kitty Hawk CV 63 entered service in April 1961 after a prolonged project based upon the Forrestal class. During the last 30 years the Kitty Hawk has been altered considerably, specially in what concerns defence armament and electronic equipment. These up-dates keep the carrier in maximum use.
The Saratoga is part of the U.S. Atlantic fleet and participated in operation Desert Storm in 1990/91. Launched in 1956, this aircraft carrier is continuously up-dated, especially its radar and electronic systems.
